Michael Joseph Jackson

I just feel as though I have to say something about Michael Jackson's recent, and sudden, death. I feel as though a part of my life died with him. He was there throughout my childhood, and most of my teenage years. I knew songs, dances, videology, discography, as well as his many looks. From 'Off the Wall' to 'Thriller', is music was amazing, and I plan on having my kids listen to all of his albums. Each one increasing in amazingness. His music was different, creating the 'Pop' Genre.

Here is a comment posted on Gizmodo about his death:
"2 celeb deaths in one day? Goodbye Iran coverage for the next 3 weeks."

and my response:
""
Its only a pop ICON thats been a star since he was alive. Creating his own genre, and mastering it for all. Creating dance moves, shattering records (and creating some), and most importantly, breaking racial barriers. You can say goodbye Iran coverage for the next 3 weeks. But I say goodbye Michael Jackson, an American Legend...

FOREVER, not just 3 measly weeks of something that should have died a long ass time ago...

To me, I cry... I'll miss you dearly Michael, I'll make my children listen to your music, let them understand when music was really something. Not just sex and drugs and all that useless crap..

I feel bad, because his comeback tour was set to start, as well as the release of his new album. There is also a medium sized article on gawker

May you rest in peace Michael, your music, as well as your persona, shall live on with me. Your 15 degree tilt in 'Smooth Criminal' will keep being shown, 'Billie Jean''s The Moonwalk during Motown's 25 year anniversary -- remembered. As well as all of the other astounding things that you've done for my world, as well as the rest of the world.

What will music do now?

Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, and now Michael Jackson (the King and Creator of Pop music)...

You've got a lot of catching up to do...

Tired and Sad,

This was incredibly touching. It wasn't until after I read this that his death really hit me. Thank you for writing and posting this.
