iPod touch Review

Ok, I've had my iPod touch now for a good while and the verdict is in!!

There are some lag-times, and certain times were the screen doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I just touched it (and at times it can really make ya mad).

The accelerometer works flawlessly when you want it to, but it has to be held upright (so you can't switch to landscape when you're on the floor).

On occasion the ambient light sensor kinda throws the screen into really bright mode in the dark (and its REALLY bright in the dark).

The screen, although scratch-resistant, isn't smudge/fingerprint resistant. So it pretty much attracts fingerprints like food attracts fatties. Sometimes, when its in your pocket it gets hot, and when you take it off of hold mode the screen becomes flushed white (as in the black is turned to white/grey (this may just be one of those "few" models that have a screen defect))

Not only that but the battery kinda drains quickly (only happened once but still)

Now this one (the last one) is going to be fixed next year, but it still bugs me that it's not fixed now.
I WANT APPLICATIONS FOR MY iPOD!!!

Now I know the current model iPod I have is messed up, but this Thursday (01-24-08) I'm going to the Apple Store to hopefully get a new (or refurbished)iPod.
You all know what the problem looks like, (Video on iPod Review) so that's the reason I'm taking it back!

Now enough with the cons, lets go with the pros:

It's a VERY attractive piece of tech!
Flicking through my music is cool, and in coverflow is even better.
Watching video with a 3.5 inch screen is awesome!! Especially via YouTube.
I LOVE the hold button, because it's an actually freakin' button now!!
Slide to unlock!
Making pictures my background on the unlock screen
The sound it makes when you put it to sleep and unlock it
Notes! I love the notes application, it's easy and really fun!
Weather. I've been using yahoo weather, but now I have it as a native app!
Mail. Awesome! Accessing my Yahoo! account with my iPod is truly amazing
Being able to move the apps around and even off & on the dock is really cool, should've probably had it when it was launched though.


And last but not least,
The iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, it's truly sweet downloading music on the go, especially on your freakin' iPod!!

Overall, its freakin' amazing (duh!) and the UI (that's User Interface for all you non-techno people) is awesome too.
I mean you can go on the internets on your iPod!!!!!!
